- They provide greater facial surface area coverage than masks by protecting the eyes, nose, and mouth
- Prevent the user from touching the face. One of the major drawbacks of face masks is that many touch their faces more often to adjust the mask, and this poses a risk for infecting themselves by contaminated hands.
